not quite a reservoir i know but does anyone know anything about the lake that has been relatively newly dug (last 2 years) at southwood manor farm? it is visable from the ledges on the other side of the mole. i reckon farmer man may be setting up for carp puddle type thing. but i guess it could be for watering his crops. visable on google earth too but not on any maps.

Bad luck River Trent, sucking all that water out.
People, stop breeding, there isn't enough stuff to go round any more.

Patrick is this it, KT12 4BJ :

I would guess irrigation, lots of crops around it (if you rotate on Bing you get different angles taken at different times of year & can see plastic coverings nearby).

thats the kiddie ed. must admit never seen anyone on it so youre probably right. farmer used to allow angling along his stretch of the mole was on the calpac ticket if i remember rightly. think he got hacked off with having to drag anglers cars out of the mud with his tractor though.

I noticed this in the London local news a couple of days ago:

Not very big, I think the announcer said the eqivalent of 11 olympic sized swimming pools, so very small.

It will be for treated water only so, I'd guess no fishing.

To put the size in perspective, a couple of years ago Thames Water were pumping more shite into the river every day.

I guess it's just a cheap option to allow TW to say that they are actually investing some of their huge profits back into infrastucture...........
