Hi Dave,

Mike and I checked Silversands today, and here are the results.

Shrimps B 45

Blue winged Olives A 5

Mayflies A 5

Baetidae OLives A 1

Cased CAddis A 5 All stone covered

hi neil.their put into categories,
1to 25=A
25 to50=B and so on.......all data gets sent to the riverfly experts.

Keith, Jack I have just got back from sampling Dumse Meadows (down stream of Chertsey Bridge).
Our scores were:

Shrimp - C (107)

Mayfly - A (9)

BW Olive - B (11)

Olive Baetis - A (4)

Cased Caddis - B (35) (both stone & stick covered)

After the river dipping the net got used for another purpose. There'd been none of thses around when we arrived, mega dozens of them when we left. I'm tempted to return with my fly rod

here are todays resuilts for chertsey bridge at 1000hrs by Paul Snell and me

water levels a bit on the low side, very little flow and clear, around 16 to 24" of light penetration

mayfly 14 - B

cased caddis 100+ - C

shrimp 100+ - C
(Gammarus)

Olives 5 - a

and had a chat with famous Fisher-person on bank and explained to him wot we were doing, he was very impressed cheers
