I should think we'll definitely go down in some form of official capacity and there's nothing stopping individual members going I should imagine? Still to read through the e-mail in truth though!

I am off so will probably go for support its only about 40 mins away, Thames Region still remains the same.

Invitation to Attend the First Angling Trust South East Forum

The Angling Trust would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the inaugural meeting of the South East Forum will take place on October 3rd at Rowfant House near Crawley. The meeting will open with our AGM at 6.30pm followed by the Forum itself which will start at 7.00pm

This Angling Trust Forum will provide an opportunity for fishing clubs, associations, individual anglers and all who care about angling a chance to feedback their views to both the Angling Trust and the Environment Agency on a range of important subjects. This is your opportunity to influence the decisions, strategies and help identify common issues that impact angling across the region. The Forum will mainly concentrate on issues effecting Hampshire, Sussex and Kent. Our Thames Forum will continue to run for clubs and anglers within the Thames Catchment.

The inaugural meeting of the Angling Trust South East Forum will be themed:

“Protecting our Waters: Combatting Illegal Fishing”

Speakers at the meeting will include:

• Mike Heylin (Chairman of Angling Trust) - the Volunteer Bailiff Scheme Pilot
• Radoslaw Papiewski (Angling Trust) - The Building Bridges initiative
• Mark Lloyd (Chief Executive of Angling Trust) – Angling Trust Update
• Adrian Saunders (Environment Agency) – Enforcement in the South East

We would be delighted if you were able to attend and support this forum. However places are limited (by the venue’s room sizes) so to confirm your attendance please contact John Cheyne by email to ensure we have sufficient space for all those who want to come along.
