Talked to the guys attending yesterdays social at Kew and all were up for this,
i know its eight weeks from now, but nice to get it together early.
Venue wise, the popular choice was between Teddington Lock and Canbury Gardens,
if we get a good turnout, this gives us plenty of room, but will finalise the venue nearer the date.
The Big One show is that weekend, (10th/11th) and a few of us are going on the the Saturday (10th).
Be nice to see some faces at both.
cheers
James

maybe we could chip in a bit of bait between us (vitalin, pellet etc}we could prebait an area the night before,to try and draw the bream in?it would be good to end the season with a decent chance for all to catch.

T.A.C...THEY.AINT.CATCHIN. lol!

Yep will be up for this one, have 2-weeks booked off before the close.

I would suggest any prebaiting is a number of days before and over a number of days. When all that Vitalin went in before no one caught, needs time to draw them in. As I am off happy to get involved as will be up and down on the boat. Cool

On the subject of pre-baiting or bait in general, the thing that sticks in my mind is,
whenever people fish the Thames for Carp or Barbel they always say, "you should leave the pellets at home"
otherwise you,ll get wiped out by the Bream, i,ll have some of that mercy bo-Q, get on the pellets cheers

Good thing with this area is you could try any bait you want and fish for pretty much any species you want, canbury gardens has pretty much everything you can angle for on the river, they all swim there?

edit: Just checked dates and cannot make this as I'm away fishing that week, good luck all and look forward to some more in the new season.

Andy.

Go down Sadlers Ride all the way to the end where you will see a free car park. In front of you is an island, Garrick's Ait. It's No Fishing as it's a bird feeding zone and is enforced by island residents and PCSOs that patrol.

Go either upstream 50 yards where you'll see the sign denoting where you can fish or go about 150 yards downstream. Many more swims upstream though, enough to fish small matches.
