Nine hardy souls out this morning, cheers everyone.

We went from Ham carp park to Teddington and collected 16 bags of rubbish including numerous broken chairs, countless singe trainers, 3 traffic cones, agas bottle, blow up chair and much more besides.

Well done Ed for organising us all, cheers Oliver for being the TAC snapper.

A very enjoyable morning Smile

At least 16 bags, I reckon it was more like 18 Smile
A pub CO2 gas cylinder, how did that get there?
3 traffic cones.
2 broken rods.
Quite a bit of line in big tangles and remains of a bulk spool at TYM, Evil or Very Mad complete with leads and swivels in some cases, I scored 2 big leads.
Loads and loads of plastic drinks bottles, a lot on the tide line but by no means all.
So much rubbish at Thames Young Mariners that we had to call it a day and stagger along to Teddington weighed down by over-filled splitting sacks.
I think we got all the big stuff but probably enough bottles and cans between TYM and the lock to fill another 10 sacks easy.
Thanks everyone for making the effort, looking forward to the photo's Oli.

Nice pictures Dave,
Just looking at that amount of crap,
makes you wonder what peoples front rooms must be like.
Another thing that riles is, "Richmond Council", who are so "Politically Green",
could, (if they had half a brain), install that highly technical piece of civil engineering,
"The Waste paper Bin", at the entrance to the "Thames Mariners",
its the most obvious place where "Humans" gather to throw away their litter,
They could even have a consultation period before they put it to the vote,
as long as you could access their website.
Dont hold your breath.

Cracking effort - well done to all who braved the cold.

Funny how of all the groups that use the river and towpath it only ever seems to the TAC doing this. (community service doesn't count as they don't volunteer)

We'll get some bin bags filled from the Hogsmill this Saturday and add to the good work.
