Charities unite to support Thames Tunnel

A coalition of environmental and amenity groups has been formed under the banner of 'Thames Tunnel Now' to press the Government and local authorities to support the proposed Thames Tunnel to end the scandal of 39 million tonnes of untreated sewage which pollutes London's river on an annual basis. The coalition will release a joint statement signed by major national and London-based environmental and amenity groups at 11 am on Monday 31st October.

good news. the more people supporting this the better.
anglers, nature lovers, rowers and canoeists, bird watchers, boaters and anyone else with an interest in the river. they cant ignore us all!
39 million tonnes is a staggering amount..
