 EA southeast fisheries report June 2011

2 things really stood out there - 40,000 fish were in Sandford lock! Even accounting for most being bleak, ruffe, gudgeon etc that's an amazing head of fish in a lock.

And the last of the salmon were stocked this year....let's hope they make it.

It is a big lock but as said thats a lot of fish ,Didnt find as many Bleak up that way as i thought but there were zillions of Chublets .
I have a sneaking suspision that some big Roach live out most of there time in some of the locks with the ebb and flow in there oxygenating the water and all ,have had a dabble with float rod when going through locks and if you get a bite it`s often a decent Roach ....when the locky is not looking face .
