Spent my 3rd TAC day out this week, this time with the EA fisheries at Penton Hook.

All very pleased with the fencing and the spawning channel is in tip top condition (well done Keith Smile )

Heard that someone was catching live baits out of the channel and got caught by the Lockkeeper.

Agreed that signage will put up at various locations saying what the channel is, no fishing and crediting the volunteer work done by you lot Smile
Also on the section where the dosg used to be able to run into will be planted with reeds etc to offer fish refuge.

The other back channel is also on the agenda to open up and improve. Smile

Discussed further works with arrangements to follow, also discussed things such as WFD and enforcement, all good folks

Yes better late etc,but the article does not mention that a Weir and Lock permit is required from the EA to fish
from these platforms ,so expect some malarky going on,s!

WITH all the work that has been done to this place, this year, we should see if any trout breed in the breeding channel, as this is the time of year that they start breeding
