Fishing Magic have just published the TAC article where we attended the fish surveys on the tidal Thames last year.

It had been filed away in a lost folder.

Any members joining since October may not have seen the article, so worth posting here. Plus, probably with so little else going on with river fishing, it's had really good feedback on FM.

Brilliant steve,
For someone like me, who has the tidal right outside my flat, this has really opened my eyes,
The Tufty,s, (loads of them), feed all year round, i have often wondered what keeps them in this area,
at first, i thought it was fish eggs, because the fish group up in this area when the tide is right, but that is only
during the spawning season, as i say the tufty,s are outside all year, maybe they are gorging on the shrimps and prawns. I would love to find out what species these fish are, from my viewpoint all i can see is big black shapes, occasionally one breaks the surface, but its to quick to identify.
Think i might try a prawn when the season opens and see what happens.
cheers
